Exercise 7.2

Today's swim was quite good. I tried to use form that I'd practiced in Dublin and keep my pace slow. The pool was busier than in previous weeks and this made my lane a bit congested. On the whole I could do a length, when I wanted, at the pace I wanted but sometimes I had to wait behind someone. Amazingly, I'm not the slowest swimmer!

I also detected an issue with my technique. I tend to keep my arms moving smoothly at an almost constant rotational speed. But in some online tutorials they stress that a breath takes place while the front arm is extended and still; not moving down as I do it. I can see this being a knack to learn as its discontinuity will take a lot of neuromuscular control.
